Reason Behind The Problem Of Sleeplessness

In today’s world most humans neglect the most important factor of our life i.e., sleep. Most of us take a "good night of sleep" for granted. Just like food and water, sleep is also a very essential aspect of the human body. But due to our disturbed and unorganised life, our sleep cycle also gets disturbed. As a result, most of us have a hard time falling asleep. So, in this article I am going to talk about the major factors that contribute to not being able to fall asleep.

1. Afternoon Siesta

Most people nowadays take afternoon siestas. What is a siesta? Siesta is the short 1-2 hours nap that you take after having your lunch in the afternoon. People who take afternoon siestas can experience the problem of not being able to easily fall asleep at night. So, it is advisable for those people, not to take those sweet siestas anymore and try to stay awake in the afternoon, despite feeling a little drowsy.

2. Too Much Caffeine

Indians are always known for their love with tea or as we say in Hindi “Chai”. But according to a survey, after the American Sitcom FRIENDS started to air on Indian television, many Indians shifted to taking coffee instead of tea. Because the Sitcom’s plot was based on 6 friends who regularly meet at a cafe to hang out. Seeing the popularity of the show, many coffee shops started opening in India. One them is now a multi-million dollar company, which is Cafe Coffee Day. This Sitcom revolutionized Indians’ intake of caffeine. When the only source of caffeine intake was tea. Because of the trend of this show, a lot of people mostly from the urban areas, started shifting to coffee. Now here comes the twist! Tea and coffee both contain a drug called caffeine. Which helps to reduce sleep. But in case of tea the amount of caffeine present in it is very low. So, drinking tea regularly doesn’t affect the sleep cycle that much. But drinking coffee does! Coffee contains more caffeine that can be found in tea. Too much caffeine intake, whether through tea or coffee can alter sleep seriously. So, if you want to sleep peacefully you might try placing your favourite coffee mug in the showcase and give up drinking coffee or tea.

3. Smartphones

Smartphones contribute hugely to your wakefulness. All smartphone screens emit a light called "Blue light". "Blue light" is the same light, that is present in natural sunlight. When our eyes are exposed to blue light for a longer period of time, it gives signals to the brain that it is day. So, the brain doesn’t make you fall asleep. So, when you scroll through those hilarious and entertaining reels and feeds at night, your eyes are being constantly being exposed to the Blue light. As a result, your brain thinks it is still day outside. So you face problem while falling asleep.

4. Insomnia

But there are some people who don’t drink coffee or tea, or even scroll their smartphones at night and don’t even take siestas, but still, they suffer to fall asleep and keep awake till at least 3:00AM. Their case is different. They are suffering from a mental disorder called insomnia. Insomnia is a sleep disturbing disorder. People with insomnia have brains, which do not produce enough amount of serotonin. Serotonin is known as the sleep hormone. It is basically a neurotransmitter, which, when is secreted, we start feeling drowsy. But if the brain fails to produce or secrete serotonin, we become insomniac.

5. Depression and Anxiety

Depression is also a major reason of wakefulness at night. People who suffer from depression and anxiety experience a tough time to fall asleep. Because when someone gets depressed or anxious, what happens is that, their serotonin levels drop as well. And since serotonin is the sleep hormone, if it is not secreted at the right time we can't fall asleep no matter how hard we try.

Researchers Restores Vision by the Methode of DNA Editing

Researchers Restores Vision by the Methode of DNA Editing

In a weighty logical triumph, researchers were as of late ready to restore vision in legitimately blind patients through a quality altering test. Many individuals who were essential for this analysis were brought into the world with vision issues yet are presently ready to see better and even sense tones. Seven patients chipped in for the test, wherein specialists changed their DNA by infusing a quality altering CRISPR straightforwardly into the phones. Scientists uncovered on Wednesday that patients with leber innate amaurosis (LCA), an extreme type of vision weakness had their vision worked on after the quality altering treatment.
CRISPR hadn't been utilized to alter qualities like this previously. Researchers had before utilized the device to eliminate cells from assemblages of patients, taking them to the lab for altering, and afterward mixing the changed cells into patients. The consequences of the review was introduced by Dr. Imprint Pennesi from the Casey Eye Institute at the Oregon Health and Science University at International Symposium on Retinal Degeneration in Nashville, USA. While the medicines seems effective, Pennesi has asked alert while seeking after it on patients. Carlene Knight, one of the subjects of the review let NPR know that she can see tones more splendid and clearly than at any other time.

How was vision restored?

LCA is brought about by a hereditary transformation that keeps significant cells from filling in the retina. Because of this condition, patients start to encounter a reformist loss of vision, after which they become legitimately visually impaired. In contrast to quality altering for different sicknesses, specialists implanted the changed quality into the eye straightforwardly rather than in a petri dish. As of recently, the patients got the CRISPR treatment just in one eye.

The treatment will be stretched out to the next eye if everything work out in a good way. That being said, the treatment didn't fix vision for all. Specialists speculate this is because of inadequate measurements or due to an excess of vision harm. Of course, the patients are generally not ready to see as completely useful eyes would, yet such minor changes are likewise assisting them with carrying on with more full lives.

SIDE EFFECTS OF MALE MASTURBATION:

Q. What is masturbation?

A. Masturbation is basically a sort of sexual activity. Masturbation is the act of providing stimulation to certain body parts by touching or rubbing them, for carnal gratification, such parts are the penis, clitoris, vulva, scrotum, breasts and anus. Masturbation is generally considered as a fun activity, as it releases stress and anxiety and provides extreme pleasure. Though it is considered as a healthy activity, it still has some side effects.

So, today in this article I will be talking about those side effects. Having knowledge in depth about anything can be fruitful at any time. So, it is better to know about the side effects of masturbation. Here are some side effects which I think is important and should be mentioned in this article:

The Feeling of Guilt: A lot of people all over the world feel guilty, right after doing masturbation. Some people consider masturbation as a sin. So, such people, after doing masturbation think, something bad may happen with them very soon as they have committed a sin. So, these people live in superstition-caused fear all through out the day. And at the end of the day many assume that their day was ruined just because they masturbated. Though the cause of this psychological behaviour is still unknown.

Swelling of the Penis: Men who masturbate excessively may injure their penis. By rubbing the penis excessively, it may get swelled. And that swelling may stay for 3 or 4 days. Which can be very painful.

Weakness and Fatigue: One of the prime side effects of masturbation is weakness and fatigue, right after ejaculation. People who masturbate more than once a day may experience weakness. Masturbation causes a psychological feeling of weakness too.

Poor Eyesight: You probably don’t know this, that, people who masturbate excessively develop poor eyesight gradually. Though there is no scientific evidence behind this phenomenon but still a lot of men have expressed their thoughts about masturbation saying excessive masturbation has deteriorated their eyesight.

Pain in Scrotum: Another side effect of masturbation is pain in scrotum. Some people experience pain in scrotum after ejaculation which can last up to 3 or 4 days. Decreased blood flow to the testicles from prolonged sexual arousal can cause testicular pain.

Premature Ejaculation (PE): One of the least known side effects of masturbation is developing premature ejaculation (PE). Premature ejaculation (PE) is the condition when a man ejaculates sooner than a man or a partner would like during copulation. Excessive masturbation can cause premature ejaculation. Though the chances are still very low of developing premature ejaculation.

Erectile Dysfunction (ED): Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability to have or keep an erection firm enough for doing copulation. It’s sometimes referred to as impotence. People who do masturbation in an abusive manner may develop this condition over time. Though the chances are low.

Depression: Some people after masturbation may feel depression. They may get extremely depressed without any proper reason. This sometimes happens due to the imbalance of neurotransmitters or also known as chemical messengers, present in the brain.

So, these were the main side effects of masturbation. Lastly, I want to say that still there is no reason of worrying about doing masturbation, since, the chance of developing premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction due to masturbation is low.

HOW TO STAY UP ALL NIGHT

HOW TO STAY UP ALL NIGHT:

Staying up all night is not recommended for anyone. Because less amount of sleep can create many complications, from headache to confusion, and from memory retention problem to agitation. It was found in many studies that people who got less amount of sleep were more prone to getting angry easily, their memory retention power was slightly poor than the ones who took 6-8 hours of sleep. Getting only 2 or 3 hours of sleep may create brain fog, headache etc. So that is why it is not recommended that you stay up all night and work every day.

But here I am going to tell you if you have an important project or assignment that needs to be completed before the morning, and you really don’t have any time, and so the only option you are left with, is to complete the project by burning the midnight oil. But it’s not that easy for everyone to stay awake at night for more than 2 hours. So here are few tips that helped me when I was preparing for my university examinations:

1.     1. Drink Coffee:

If you want to stay up all night to work or study, then no other thing is as good as drinking a cup of coffee. Coffee and Tea, both are stimulant drinks. These drinks contain a drug called caffeine, which has psychostimulant properties. And any drug which has psychostimulant properties effects our brain’s function, like how we think and feel. Coffee can rejuvenate our mood. It dispels tiredness and improves energy. But most importantly coffee helps in getting rid of drowsiness. In a study it was found that if someone takes 600 mg of coffee then it helps to boost energy levels and kill drowsiness. So, the next time you are trying to stay wake for the college assignment, do not forget to take a cup of coffee.

Disclaimer: It is advisable that people with certain health conditions like hypertension, asthma, COPD or any cardiovascular disease should not take coffee, as it may make their problems worse.

2.     2.  Do not yawn:

We yawn due to multiple reasons but the most justified reason is, because of low oxygen levels in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus of the brain, we have the urge to yawn. And when we yawn, we feel a bit sleepy. The more and more you yawn, the sleepier you get over time. So, when you are trying to stay up all night, do not yawn at all. It will be difficult not to yawn, but with practice you can easily control yawning.

3.     3. Work in a well-lit room:

Working in a well-lit bright room dispels your drowsiness. Because light plays a key role in regulating circadian rhythm which is the body’s internal clock that signals when to be alert and when to sleep. Light also interferes in the production of melatonin. Melatonin, known by the name sleep hormone, is a hormone which is primarily released by the pineal gland at night, and has long been associated with control of the sleep and wake cycle. So, that is why if you work in a room with bright light, your sleep cycle will be frequently interrupted.

4.   4.  Drink plenty of water:

If you keep drinking multiple glasses of water then you would frequently go to toilet. Thus, your sleep will definitely be interrupted. Also drinking water will keep you hydrated. And if you are well hydrated then you will not feel worn out easily.

5.   5.  Take a shower:

one of the best methods to get rid of drowsiness is taking a shower. Taking a cold-water shower will reduce your sleepiness. Taking a cold-water shower will not only reduce your drowsiness, but also will make you rejuvenated.

So, these are the five most helpful tips to stay up all night. For more such informative articles subscribe www.unbiasedalphabets.blogspot.com

Starting A New Journey On An Old Path

Dear reader!

So, finally I am on blogger, being a principled parrot in the dark and depressing social society, I'll be tweeting terribly against the miserable and monotonous aspects of life.
Blogging is almost dead today. That's why I am starting a new journey on an old path. But I'll try my utmost to infuse life into it through this virtual realm of writing. Because only writing can do wonders. Writing has the potential to perilously plunge into the pivotal panorama of daily life and bring out the most important and necessary elements from it, which are underrated or being overlooked or even it can directly delineate the overrated and overhyped things in life.

And what more should I tell you about me now? Well, I, a student of English literature, finally graduating by God's grace, is also a published poet-author of two anthologies, (Love Lust Licentiousnes, But the Heart Still Wants), a film director, a passionate photographer and a dreamer!

Yours Faithfully
